Airebourne Lands Partnership With Live Root Records

Airebourne Entertainment is excited to announce a new partnership with Live Root Records.

In 2012, Live Root Records owner, Shanton Russell aka Sean Rasul, signed “Jaehross” to his first indie record deal (Jaeh was just 19 years old at the time). The two agreed to a one-year/one album deal, and while time was well-spent on growth and development, the contract expired before an album could be released by the label.

The two have reconnected ten years later and are now on a new mission. Following the expiration of the original contract, Jaehross went on to release several projects of his own, has toured the United States and Europe, launched the Airebourne brand, and landed key business deals for the company. “The timing couldn’t be better to join forces with Live Root Records now that I’ve matured and developed a lot more,” says Airebourne Founder/Owner, Jeah Ross. “Now that my focus is on being a full-time artist and entrepreneur, I’m better prepared and have experiences that will greatly benefit this partnership.”

As for Shanton Russell, who never quit his day job (he has been a member of the United States Air Force for nearly 26 years), his Live Root Records brand, which once contained a roster of five artists, ended up solely existing to promote and license songs for Sean Rasul. The label landed a licensing deal with MTV in 2012 for his hip-hop song “Champion” which was featured during a season one episode of the “Taking the Stage” cable television series. “Over the years I’ve learned the ins and outs of running an independent label and publishing company,” says Russell. “This experience combined with the discipline and organizational skills I’ve gained from almost three decades in the military should be valuable to our partnership.”

While the two managed to keep in touch over the years, they finally found time to meet up face to face in Austin, Texas in late September of 2021. “I was on business in San Antonio, and since the drive to Austin is short, I planned on grabbing a bite to eat with my dude to catch up on old times,” says Russell. “While talking about our respective journeys and what we both want to still accomplish, Jaeh reminded me about why we started down this path in the first place. We decided to join forces and finish what we started.”

Now that Airebourne Entertainment has officially partnered with Live Root Records, the company will continue to focus on audio and video production, social media management and marketing, but will now sign, represent, manage, and release music for artists Jaehross, Sean Rasul, and future artists in an attempt to evolve into an entertainment industry powerhouse. The company will also work to empower other movements and business ventures as well.
